Our Working Alongside an Expert for the Day program offers a unique and immersive learning experience that allows you to observe, collaborate, and gain insights from a true master of the craft. This workshop is ideal if you are at a intermediate level and are struggling with some aspects of a piece you are working on, you can bring this in and get expert support with this.

Come and join us at our state of the art facility in Trafford Park. We take Greater Manchester's donated items and turn them into value. Each year we donate £225k to local charities and good causes. By taking this workshop your helping us, help them!

What to expect on the workshop:

During this educational day, you'll have the privilege of working alongside a highly skilled and experienced upholstery professional. This immersive experience offers:

One-on-one guidance: You'll receive personalised guidance and instruction from our expert upholsterer. They will share their wealth of knowledge, answer your questions, and provide valuable insights into advanced techniques.

Hands-on learning: Dive deep into the world of upholstery as you actively participate in the upholstery process under the watchful eye of an industry expert.

Real-world techniques: Learn the tips, tricks, and techniques that can't be found in textbooks. Our expert will share their best practices and insights gained from years of experience in the field.

Q&A session: Take advantage of the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session, where you can pick the expert's brain and gain further knowledge about upholstery, materials, tools, and the industry as a whole.

Workshop details

Duration and timings: The workshop will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesday at the Renew Hub. The session will take place between 9am and 3pm

Location: Greater Manchester Renew Hub, Nash Road, Trafford Park, M17 1SX. Parking is available on site and the nearest tram stop is Trafford Centre.

- Please feel free to bring in your own upholstery project if you've got something specific you want to work on
- You will need to bring all your own fabric, foam of fillings and materials
- Please bring your own lunch, or we can recommend nearby eateries for your convenience

The cost is £75, which includes all instruction and tools for the day.
