Already have some upholstery experience and looking to develop your skills further? Join us for a unique one-day workshop at Renew, where you'll spend the day working alongside one of our experienced upholsterers, receiving personalised guidance and practical support on your own upholstery project. 

Designed for intermediate upholsterers or confident beginners looking to overcome specific challenges, this workshop gives you the opportunity to learn directly from an expert while working on a project that's important to you. 

Located at our state-of-the-art facility in Trafford Park, Renew transforms Greater Manchester's donated items into valuable resources, donating over £225,000 each year to local charities and good causes. By taking part in one of our workshops, you're helping us continue that work while developing your upholstery skills. 

What You'll Do 

Bring along your own upholstery project and spend the day working closely with one of our skilled upholsterers. Whether you're struggling with a particular technique, need advice on construction, or simply want the confidence of expert guidance, this workshop provides dedicated one-to-one support throughout the day. 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience, ask questions, and learn professional techniques that will help you complete your project to a high standard. 

What You'll Learn 

Throughout the day you'll benefit from: 

Materials 

Please bring your own upholstery project along with any materials you need to complete it, including fabric, foam, fillings and any other components specific to your piece. 

We'll provide full access to our professional upholstery workshop, along with the tools and equipment you'll need throughout the day.

Duration: Approximately 7 hours (9:00am – 4:00pm) 

Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Free parking is available on site, and the nearest tram stop is the Trafford Centre. 

What to Bring 

Please bring: 

For your safety, full-length trousers are required. Please do not wear skirts or shorts. We also recommend wearing steel toe boots if you have them. If not, we can provide safety footwear on site.

£75 per person
